Welcome to Holiday in Dixie

alt

Holiday in Dixie is a multifaceted spring festival celebrating its 66th year in the Shreveport area, making it one of the oldest running festivals in Louisiana. HID provides cultural enrichment, family oriented activities, economic development, a celebration of The Louisiana Purchase and most importantly, a spirit of community involvement and pride. The spring festival running from April 12th-April 20th is a full schedule of merriment and activities with “something for everyone”.

Holiday in Dixie 2013 is comprised of the ever popular KTBS Channel 3 Treasure Hunt, Family Fun Run and 5K, the Classic Parade, the Carnival  at Shreveport’s Festival Plaza and our newest event HID BBQ Cook Off on the Riverfront. The festival is sponsored by community businesses, our sponsors and the members of the Holiday in Dixie Ambassadors.

For further information, interviews, or to become a member of the Ark-La-Tex Ambassadors, contact the Holiday in Dixie office at 318.865.5555 or doodah@holidayindixie.com .
